R. Brian Colling Obituary
Words cannot adequately describe the immense loss we feel with the death of our beloved R. Brian Colling on July 9, 2024. Devoted and caring husband of Beryl for nearly 48 years. Loving father to his son Jason (Annette) and daughter Lisa (Craig). Proud Grandpa to Sydney and Spencer. Brother to Ron (Val). Son of the late Russell and Ruth Colling.
Brian was a very quiet, thoughtful and caring person, who loved being outdoors with his plants and birds. He was treasurer and later Deacon for Mountsberg Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling; coaching the youth bowling and working part-time at the Waterdown Bowling Alley. Always involved in his children’s activities, he volunteered for many school trips and was active in scouting as a Scout Leader, attending many Jamborees and even participating in winter camping. He loved his time at their trailer, whether at River Place or travelling in their hard top trailer or motor home. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by many. To the angels at Deer Park, thank you for the care and deep affection shown to Brian and his family.
Friends may visit with the family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, July 13th from 12 noon until the start of a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. followed with a reception in the Family Centre (Livestream will be available through the funeral home website). Private interment at Lowville Cemetery. Donations to Mountsberg Baptist Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
