Patricia Porter, born in Moncton, NB, passed away peacefully,
leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was the
beloved wife of Gary Porter for 58 wonderful years, having met the
love of her life at the age of 13 at Fundy Park in
Alma.
Patricia, known affectionately as Grammie Pat or Auntie Pat
to many, was a devoted mother to her children, Mike (Tanya), Gerry,
and Angie Carter (Shane). She was a proud and loving grandmother to
Taylor Haines (Glen), Katelyn (Blake), Jansen, Kennedy, Owen, and
Ryleigh, and great-grandmother to Cameron, and Bennett. As well as a
proud big sister to Kim Coster (Mike) and loving Aunt to her cherished
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Walter Cooper,
her mother Hazel Cooper, sister Gloria Tyler, and Brother-In-Law Alan
Tyler. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every
moment spent with them.
Pat made the best home-made rolls and loved to bake with her
grandkids or make gingerbread houses at Christmas. She always made you
feel like you were the most important person in the room. She had an
infectious lust for life and a remarkable ability to connect with
people. Whether engaging in lively conversations online or sharing a
friendly chat at the grocery store, she touched the hearts of many
with her warmth and genuine spirit. She was known for always having
time for everyone and for her kind soul.
Growing up in Moncton, Pat enjoyed frequent visits with
family in Alma, NB, creating fond memories that she carried with her
throughout her life. Her journey was filled with love, laughter, and a
deep appreciation for her family and friends. One of Pat’s most
treasured traditions was saying “LOVE YOU MORE!” to her
grandchildren as they left her home after a visit or one of the many
memorable sleepovers.
Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of
love, kindness, and connection will continue to inspire and live on in
the hearts of those she touched.
A gathering to share memories of Pat will take place on
Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Cobb’s Funeral Home
and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview
(506-869-2007). The service will take place on Saturday,
July 13, at 11:00 AM followed by a reception for all to enjoy each
other’s company and have a snack as Pat would have
wanted.
