Bruce Danyluk passed away on July 1, 2024, in Selkirk, MB.
He was predeceased by his wife Marianne Danyluk on September 15, 2014, and is survived by his daughter Kate-Lyn Danyluk and son-in-law Steven Skehar of Brokenhead RM, and Angie Rudyk of Winnipeg. He also leaves behind his cherished four-legged companion, Logan, a Shepherd cross whom Bruce adopted in 2016.
Bruce was born on January 19, 1948, to Walter and Norma Danyluk. The son of a forester, Bruce developed a deep connection to the outdoors that lasted throughout his life. He spent most of his retirement tending his property in Springfield, MB, or walking the various back trails with Logan by his side.
Bruce’s favourite place in the world was Freeport, The Bahamas. He and Marianne purchased a timeshare there after falling in love with the stunning beaches and the welcoming people. He could often be heard commenting that Freeport must be as close to Heaven as you could get to on Earth.
Bruce’s true character could be best witnessed through his devotion to his wife, Marianne. Bruce stood steadfastly by his wife throughout her battle with Multiple Myeloma, delivering the kind of love and care that we should all be so lucky to receive.
Bruce was a committed Catholic and felt a deep connection to the traditions of the church.
Bruce will be remember as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man of deep faith.
