Obituary of Ella Gordon
GORDON, Ella Marie peacefully with family by her side at Gateway Haven Nursing Home on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Ella Gordon (formerly Ella MacLachlan) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ron MacLachlan (pre 1992) and John Gordon of Barrie. Cherished mother of Mike MacLachlan and his wife Joanne of Oliphant and Ann Martell and her husband Gerry of Oliphant. Much loved grandmother of Andrew (Sonya), Michelle, Stacey (Doug), Les (Victoria), Montana, Brodie and Chris (Rosie) and great grandmother of Gregory, Evan, Lennox, Isabella, Emerson and Myla. Predeceased by her sisters Marj Gilbert (John) and Helen Parke (Elgin).
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Gateway Haven Nusing Home especially the front line staff who showed Ella such care and compassion. A special thank you Dixie Jones, Ruth Anne Fries and Betty Lou Brough for the extraordinary love and care they provided to Ella.
The funeral service will be conducted at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton. Expressions of remembrance to the Alzheimer Society or the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary and Rescue would be appreciated.
