Wanda Belle Scott- age 69 of Bell Neck, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully at home on July 1st,2024. Born January 5th,1955 in a snowstorm, Wanda was the loving daughter to the late Ken and Dot Cook. Wanda enjoyed nothing more than relaxing at her home on the lake with her family. Her grandsons brought her so much joy.
She taught school for 5 years at Central School followed by 30 years at South Centennial School. She so loved all her students. Wanda was a kind, thoughtful woman who was known to not sugar coat things. In her true Wanda fashion, she wrote her own obituary.
“I am survived by my only sibling Cory Cook, his wife Barb Cook and my nephew Riley (Samantha) Cook; my dear children Haley (LJ) and Jeff (Heidi); my grandsons Owen, Maksym and Luka; but most of all my husband of 40 years Steven Scott who I loved with all my heart. He taught me the true meaning of love. I was also fortunate to have a handful of dear, faithful friends. You girls know who you are, and I am forever grateful for your friendship”
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no funeral or visitation at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
