Brian Richard Nikkel Obituary
Brian Nikkel, a beloved partner, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 28th, 2024, at the age of 70. Brian was born in Toronto where he was a long-time resident, and also resided for some time in the Georgina region.
Brian will be deeply missed by his partner Beth Boudreau, his children Michelle & Darryl Boersema, Danielle Summers & Kyle Adams, Alex Summers & Justin Penzes, Maxwell Summers, and his grandsons Dylan, Owen, Benjamin & Finn Boersema, Lazlo Penzes and his family and friends.
Brian was fun-loving, filled with jokes and loved to laugh, especially with those whom he held dear. He was also a long-time sports fan and could usually be found watching whatever game or sporting event was on for the day, especially if it was the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Yankees or Cleveland Browns. Although he struggled with his health, especially in his final year, his family and close friends will forever hold dear the precious time spent celebrating him at his 70th birthday party. Brian’s memory will forever be held dear by those who knew him, and his laugh will continue to sound in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown. Visitation from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service starting at 3:00 p.m.
