It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Lance Andrew Petersen, Monday, June 24, 2024 in Drayton Valley at the age of 29 years. His love and friendship will be greatly missed in all who have known him.
Lance will be forever remembered by his loving parents, Rebecca and Dane; siblings, Olivia (Derek), Shae-Lynn (Colton), Alexander (Shae), and Emma (Aaron); nieces, Hazel and Ava; nephew, Boston; grandparents, Jerry and Darlene Bogart, Teresa and Ray, and Holly and Drew and a large extended family and many friends.
Lance was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Lorne Petersen.
Lance was a man who deeply loved his family, he looked forward to family gatherings large or small. Lance loved being a big brother, to his younger siblings-having created bonds with each of them. Lance was passionate about relationships, he was a social butterfly, he tried to help and lend a hand to everyone, from mowing lawns to delivering groceries. Lance took the time to stay connected to the friendships he collected, which were many. Lance was a loving person, kind, and loyal. He was also his own person with his own individuality.
The people and hearts he touched will be forever changed with his absence.
In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Lance’s name can be made directly to Epilepsy Canada, East Tower, 3250 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X 2X9.
