Richard Guitar Obituary
It is with deep sadness we have to announce the passing of Richard Douglas Guitar (Rick), which occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2024 unexpectedly due to tragic accident. Rick was born on April 19th, 1972 (52 years old) in Saint John, NB. He was the son of Lloyd D. Guitar and Laurie Guitar(Smith). He is survived by his cherished children Dustin and Coulton, who he loved beyond words. Rick had found employment in his younger years as a glass stainer, and a labour worker with Black Seal Paving Company. His passions were computers, biking, UFC, music and his two boys. Although Rick lived and grew up in the city, he found his real home in the country. He strived to be better for himself, and his children. Rick enjoyed life so much whether it was with a friend singing Kumbaya by a bonfire, or singing Karaoke in someones house. Rick spent most of his time enjoying all the back roads of Musquash, and Chance Harbour. He was always very stubborn and had a funny sense of humor. Anyone who knew Rick knew how old-school he was , and always wondering where his hat and sunglasses were. Rick’s future was always much more brighter than his past, but for Rick this wasn’t goodbye, he never liked goodbyes, it was always peace out.
He is survived by his two children (Dustin Campbell) and (Coulton Guitar), his brothers (Fabian Guitar) and (Timothy Guitar), and lots of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving parents (Lloyd D. Guitar) and (Laurie J. Guitar). Special friends (Crystal and Andrea).
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB, (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024, from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
