Edward Mearle Bierworth passed away peacefully at Pine Meadows Long Term Care in Northbrook on June 26 2024 at the age of 94. Mearle Bierworth, beloved husband of the late Hazel (Aucoin) Bierworth, dear father of Stephen & Lynn Bierworth of Bancroft, cherished grandfather of Stacey & Mitchell Switzer and Justin Bierworth and great grandfather of Gracelyn and Ronin. Mearle was predeceased by his siblings, Alma, Gertrude, Catherine, Barbara, Gerald and Eunice and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. He was employed for over 40 years as a truck driver mechanic, bulldozer operator and lastly as a garbage truck driver with the Town of Bancroft. Anyone who knew Mearle will remember the ongoing log pile in his front lawn and the sight of him always working away and cutting and splitting it all up. When not busy with his wood, Mearle enjoyed fishing and hunting.
