Jeannot Lefebvre
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces his passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Diane Lefebvre (nee Benoit). Cherished father of Ryan Lefebvre (Deandra). Dear brother of Bob Lefebvre (Lise), Jess Lefebvre (Mona), Ron Lefebvre (late Sue), Denis Lefebvre (Francine) and Michelle Lefebvre (George). Brother-in-law of Paulette (Laureat) and Evelyn (Donny). Son-in-law of Gabriel and the late Lucienne Benoit. Jeannot will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents Jean-Claude and Yolande Lefebvre.
Jeannot fought a difficult battle with AML (Leukemia) and kept fighting until the end. He loved all sports, especially golf. He was also a long time teacher with the Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières; he had a positive impact on all his students.
The family would like to thank the staff from the oncology and hospice department for their care and compassion as well as the paramedics who attended his home on several occasions. A special thank you to nurses Jessica, Sharon and Joy, Dr. Critchley, Dr. Gopalakrishna and his team, Dr. Prevost, Dr. Loretto and the Bayshore nurses Marnie and Tina.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home reception lounge. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
