Bangma, Koop
Entered into rest suddenly at the Kingston Health Science Centre, Kingston on Wednesday June 19, 2024 at the age of 71 yrs.
Koop was a well known Brockville contractor, born in Brockville and was the son of the late Albert and Jacoba Bangma. He is survived by his two children Jessica McKenzie (Kurt) and Damon Bangma.. Fondly remembered by his five grandchildren Owen, Nash, Wyatt, Tenley and Camryn. Dear brother of Len Bangma ( Rita ), Greta McIlvenna (Reg),Hank Bangma (Maggie), John, Joanne and Richard Bangma. Also survived by his former wife and good friend Brenda ( nee Whitney ) Bangma and by several nieces, nephews and ,great nieces and nephews as well as cousins. Predeceased by his sister Shirley Ballantyne.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home & Chapel, 4 James Street East Brockville on Wednesday June 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Koop’s life for family and friends will be announced at a later date this summer. In remembrances to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario will be gratefully acknowledged.
