Peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, Linda Barkhouse, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born to parents, the late Jacqueline Woodside and Henry Barkhouse, in Sudbury, Ontario and is predeceased to her siblings Henry (Angele) and Carrol (Tom). She is survived by daughter, Sanna (David) and predeceased by her son, Tarik (May 15, 2024). Doting grandmother of Lyla and Farrah, and loving aunt to Natalie, Chris, Michael, Lynk and Kim. She is survived by several great nieces and nephews.
Linda was a fierce animal lover and adored her many pets over her lifetime. She was an avid reader and gardener and a talented seamstress and knitter. Linda was a loyal, reliable and dedicated mother, aunt and friend, and will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Friday, June 28th from 4 pm to 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dementia Society or a local pet rescue.
