Salmen, Gerald Thomas –
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jerry Salmen on February 10, 2023, at the age of 91. Loving husband to the late Lynn Salmen (Sept. 14, 2022) for 48 years. Cherished stepfather to Lynn’s daughters Terry-Lynn (John) Cook and Judy (Allan) Whitehead. Treasured grandfather to Jessica (Kerwood Agar) Kaman, Jeff (Tara) Kaman and William Whitehead and beloved great grandfather to Zoli Kaman and Max Kaman.
Jerry is also survived by his daughter Brenda (Les) Lund, her children Colleen and Andrew, their spouses, and children. Jerry and Brenda reconnected in recent years, and they were both very happy to renew communication and share a few wonderful visits.
Predeceased by his parents Ella Mae Salmen and Albert Salmen, and his brothers Frank Salmen and Joe Salmen.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and extended family.
A special thank you to Dr. Julie Ray in Elora and the wonderful staff at Chartwell Wellington Park Retirement Residence in Guelph for all their care and kindness.
