Ray “Spike” Bronson Obituary
Raymond Gordon Edmund Bronson, age 78 of Stratford passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge on June 14, 2024. Born July 11, 1945, son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Bronson. Loving husband for 49 years of Gale (Trachsel). Proud father of Zachary (Kim), and Taite (Bec) and grandfather of Noah and Aidan. Brother to Marni Balog (Michael). Lovingly remembered by the Trachsel family, Bob (Winnie), George (Mary) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by brother-in-law Bill Trachsel, his wife Kathryn,and son Stephen.
Ray was an electrician and worked for Culliton Brothers, Canadian Fabricated Products, AO Smith and Stackpole until his retirement. Ray and Gale enjoyed their summers at Camp Kitchigami, Goderich with the boys then their grandsons, friends and families for 39 years.
A celebration of Rays’ life will be held in the Reception Centre of the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00.
A family interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sebastopol-Tavistock at a later date.
Gale and her family would like to sincerely thank all of the wonderful staff of Spruce Lodge for caring for Spike, the exceptional meals provided and keeping his favourite flavour of popsicles in stock. Thanks to the residents for their friendships, the laughs and giggles.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Spruce Lodge Foundation or the Stratford Perth Humane Society
