George James Copp Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Copp Jr., at the age of 50, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Loving husband of Nicole for over 24 years. Cherished father of Leanne and James. Dear son of George Copp and Sonya McIntosh, and son-in-law of Irene Huffman (the late Robert Huffman). Will be sadly missed by his brother Jeff and his wife Kathy, and their children; Alexis and Matthew. Also remembered by his sister-in-law Lesley Fuciarelli.
George worked along with his brother Jeff and father George (until retirement), in the family business, George Copp & Sons Backhoe Service, in Waterdown. He loved his work and being able to work along with his family. George enjoyed the outdoors, going atv’ing and snowmobiling, and also enjoyed being home for a good nap. Most of all George loved his family, and spending time with them. He will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, where a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 20204 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. If desired, donations in memory of George to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
