Dale’s Obituary
HAYWARD, Dale – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Dale Hayward who left us on June 8th, 2024 at the age of 62. He was surrounded by his loving family at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
He is survived by his daughters Brittney (Cj) & Stefanie (Connor). Also, by his partner Tracy, brothers Jim (Lynn) & Glen (Cindy), sister Linda and his two precious grandsons Jaxx & Zander.
Dale is pre-deceased by his parents Joan & Wilbert Hayward.
Dale worked for many years at Hayward’s Marina as a mechanic working on boats & snowmobiles. He spent the last 16 years working as an underground mechanic at the mine but his true passion has always been the great outdoors and giving back to his community. He participated in the AYA, Fall Classic Committee & Snow Machine Club. He could also be seen in the dugout coaching women’s fast ball & behind the bench coaching his daughter’s hockey. Dale also enjoyed being on the other side, playing hockey, baseball, golf, hunting and of course fishing as he loved being out on the lake especially with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Evolution Curling Lounge on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at 1pm with Kevin Miller officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dale Hayward to the Red Lake Angler Young Angler (redlakeaya@gmail.com), or through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V-2M0
