Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton on Sunday, June 9, 2024, Francesco Cascioli at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband to Maria Filippa Cascioli (nee Casciano) for 68 years. Son of the late Leonardo and late Fiorentina Cascioli and son-in-law of the late Leonardo and late Grazia Casciano. Loving father to Fiorella Cifani (Emilio), Grace Bruno (Sam) and Anna Cerino (late Joe). Cherished Nonno to Grace (Oscar), Philip, Anthony (Genna), Alexander (Rosy), Samantha (Lucas), Danny (Stephanie), Frankie (Melissa), Alyssa and Bis Nonno to Aria, Adrien, Leo, Matteo and Mara. Dear brother to the late Vincent and late Rose Cascioli, late Filomena and late Michele Figliola and Antonio and Maria Cascioli. He will also be sadly missed by his extended family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Francesco was born November 12, 1930 in Roseto Valfortore, Puglia, Italy and came to Canada and started his own successful business as a plasterman for over 40 years. He was passionate about his gardens, pasta and his daily espresso and most of all his family that he absolutely adored. A special thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff of both Kingsberry Place and St. Peter’s Hospital for their compassion and care.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday, June 13th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – Hamilton on Friday, June 14th at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
