CERMINARA, Angelina (nee Elia) – Passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Greater Niagara General Hospital surrounded by her family, on June 8, 2024 at the age of 96. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years Joseph Cerminara (2017). Dearly loved mother of Jack (Delia) Cerminara, Joanne Cerminara and the late Giulio Cerminara (1956). Proud Nana of Stefanie (Steve) Dief, Joe (Casey) Cerminara, Kristina Hamill and Anjelica Hamill and great-grandmother of Julian Dief, Sebastian Dief, Ava Cerminara and Chloe Cerminara. Survived by siblings Adela Muraca, Carmela (Joe) Bruni, and Joe (Adelia) Elia. Survived by in-laws Assunta Elia, Angelino Gigliotti, Marianna Formica, Antionetta Panucci, Mario (Annie) Cerminara and Mona Cerminara. Predeceased by her parents Beniamino and Giuseppina (nee Arcuri) Elia, in-laws Gioachino and Carolina Cerminara and siblings Frank Elia, Giulia Elia, Carmen Elia and Ersilia Gigliotti. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gino Elia, Filomena and Giacomo Bianco, Frank Cerminara, Costantino and Lois Cerminara, Gherardo Formica, and Joe Panucci. Angelina leaves behind many wonderful nephews and nieces. Angelina immigrated to Canada in 1950 to start a new life with her husband Joseph. Together they worked hard in great partnership to live a full life of family and adventure. Angelina was known for her passion for life and spunky personality that everyone around her revered. Friends are invited to join her family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main Street, visiting Wednesday June 12, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm, and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday June 13, 2024 at St. Ann’s Church at 10 am. The Rite of Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. In memory of Mrs. Cerminara, donations to St. Ann’s Church and The Welland Hospital Dialysis Centre would be appreciated by her family. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
