Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Matthews House Hospice.
Devoted husband of 58 years to Linda Lemire (nee Cain). Loving father of Rachelle Bender (Daryl) and Angela Day (Len). Loved Peres of Dr. Jessica Day (Jordan), Zachary Day and Shawn Bender. Dear brother of Albert Lemire, Yvette Joyal, Geannine Lemire, Simone Tekauc (Bob) and predeceased by Art Lemire. Hubert Lemire, Maria Poierier and Irene French-Walker.
Aurele was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and lifelong “Computer Geek”. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre 519 Victoria St. E., Alliston on Wednesday, June 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church 190 King St. S., Alliston on Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m.
