Jo-Anne Miller (1945 – 2024)
Unfortunately, so soon after our fathers passing, we must announce the passing our beloved mother, nana, sister and aunt, Jo-Anne Miller on Monday May 27, 2024.
Loving mother of Sherrie Langford (Paul), and Gayle Colbran (Shawn). Cherished nana of Kurtis (Erin), Christopher (Tiffany), Jade (Bauman), Nikolas, Alexa (Amari). Dear sister of Verna Roberts (Russ), Patricia Ellerton (Rick) and Barb Holbrook (Steve). Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years Ron Miller, her parents June Staples (Lou) and Gail Rine, her son David, and her sisters Carolyn, Elizabeth, and brother Ken.
She will be missed also by many nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as “Aunt Mary Jo Bob”.
Our mother was a beautiful soul that would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She worked in many different places in Woodstock and had a large circle of friends. She spent many years in Otters Edge Campgroup and at her cottage in Turkey Point with our dad.
She was so very proud of each and every one of their 5 grandchildren. Along with her love for her grandchildren, if you knew her well, you knew she loved her fur babies and grand-fur babies too!!
We are at peace, as we know our mom and dad are forever together in heaven! They were married for 60 years and we truly believe that two weeks was too long for mom to be without dad. Dad would have welcomed her with open arms. They loved to dance, and we know they will forever be dancing in heaven with their loved ones by their side. If there are scratch tickets heaven, she might finally win her millions!!
Our family would like to thank everyone for your kindness and support during this very difficult time. The overwhelming number of messages and phone calls have been very much appreciated.
As per Jo-Anne’s request there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held later. A Celebration of Life for both Ron and Jo-Anne will be held later in the year at the Woodstock Navy Club.
Memorial donations to the Leukemia Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South 519-425-1600.
