Aleta Helen Paquin
Died peacefully on February 11, 2023, surrounded by her family at the age of 90. Leta of Kingston Ontario, beloved wife of Fred (pre-deceased) for over 67 years. Loving mother of the late Fred (Susie), Gary (Sherry), Brian (Leanne) and Karen Zanet-deGruchy (Mark). Cherished grandmother of Freddie, Ken (Jenna), Lyndsey (Endurance), Steve (Jess), Dave (Cristina), and ‘great Nanny’ to Jordan, Jack, Finn, Jaye, Brooklyn, Rian, Riley, Grace and Luke. Leta was also predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Leta will be fondly remembered by her family and friends in the Kingston area and in Florida, where she and Fred wintered since retirement in 1990. Leta began her nursing administration career in Kingston, ultimately retiring from Hotel Dieu Hospital. Leta had a deep love for her family, who were always a high priority in her life.
Friends will be received at the James Reid Funeral Home – Reception Centre, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, Kingston (please enter the Reception Centre from the rear parking lot doors) on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with Words of Remembrance to commence at 11:30 am. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by Leta’s family.
