It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Howe announce her passing on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Chris (Joy) Howe, Kerry Howe (Susan Wilmot), Harold Howe, Wade Howe, Sandra (Vince) Penney, Stan “Chopper” Howe (Ken), Lisa (Roger) Canning, Wayne (Isabel) Doody and John (Corrine) Doody; grandchildren: Renee, Krista, Christopher, Alicia, Sabrina, Lisa, Ashley, Jason, Chesley and Dwayne; as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers and sister: Art Doody, Mike Doody, Anthony (Bernice) Doody, Alistar Doody and Lillian (Dave) Burnham; brothers-in-law: Edmund (Gert) Howe and Stanley (Josephine) Howe; sister-in-law Elizaeth Howe (Joanne); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Howe, parents Michael and Dorothy Doody, parents-in-law Thomas and Sara Howe, brothers-in-law Frank (Jean) Howe, Cecil (Beth) Howe and Tommy Howe. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
