Obituary of Betty Sharron
Betty Sharron (Nee Saunders) was born on August 11, 1941 in Springdale, Newfoundland. She was raised in Springdale with her brother and sisters. After school she moved to Botwood, Newfoundland where she worked as a nurses aid in the Botwood Hospital.
Betty met the love of her life, Lindy Sharron. They moved to Wabush, Labrador where Betty was highly involved in The Salvation Army. She spent lots of time volunteering and helping out with many activities for the church. She really enjoyed knitting which she did right up until the end. Betty also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
With her family by her side, Betty passed away at the Provost Health Centre on February 12, 2023 at the age of 81 years.
She is survived by her children, Richard Sharron (Vicki) and their children, Jennifer (Braxton), Amanda and Lucus; Michael Sharron (Tasje) and their children, Jessica and Jack; Diedra Cyr (Yanick) and their son, Sebastian.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband, Lindy; grandson, Alex Sharron; parents, Howard and Pearl Huxter; brother, Allan Huxter; sisters, Francis Pittman and Verley Fesenko; sister in law, Ivy Huxter; brother in laws, Harry Pittman and George Fesenko.
Betty’s wish was to be brought back home to Newfoundland, where she will be laid to rest at a later date.
