It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Annette Newell. Annette passed away peacefully at home on May 3rd surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was predeceased by her parents, Tina and Raymond Auxillou, and by her older brother Raymond. Annette is survived by her husband Gerry, daughter Cleo, sister Louise Golz and by her furry companion SheaShea. Annette was an active swimmer at the Cowichan Community Centre and enjoyed the company of many friends at the pool. She was also a member of the “hiking mamas” ladies walking group and very much enjoyed their weekly expeditions around the Valley, and their post hike coffees!
Annette’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
There are so many people to thank for their kindness and expressions of love and support during Annette’s illness and to our family in our bereavement. A special thanks to her family doctor who took such outstanding care of her and to the staff at the BC Cancer Centre in Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
