Wayne Harold Rossing
1950 ~ 2024
Wayne Harold Rossing, 74, beloved husband, father and cherished friend passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024 surrounded by his family, following a serious illness. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years Linda (nee Klatt); children Jason (Tammy) Rossing and Corwyn (Kelsey) Rossing; grandchildren: Cooper, Jensen, Dylan, Austin and Connor Rossing; step-siblings Dorothy Anderson and Stan Wheller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Wayne is predeceased by his parents Thor Lief and Ellen Rossing, sister Doreen and brothers Ronald and Gordon.
Wayne entered the world on March 4, 1950, in Galahad, Alberta and at age sixteen he went to work running heavy equipment which took him up north and surrounding areas. Wayne’s passion was farming and in 1977 he went to work for Blume Ranchers for many years, and continued in the farm industry until retirement in 2016.
In April 1998, Wayne survived a brain aneurysm. As a result, Wayne spent three months in the Foothills Hospital in Calgary and then eight and a half months in rehabilitation. Wayne’s determination and hard work aided his recovery, allowing Wayne to live a full life with Linda and his family.
Along with being a loving husband and father, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and travelling and will be missed by all who knew him.
