Obituary For Timothy “Tim” Russell Howrish
October 23, 1962 – May 3, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim Howrish on May 3, 2024, at the young age of 61.
Tim was born in Spirit River on October 23, 1962. He lived in the Rycroft/Spirit River area his whole life and was well known throughout the community. Tim was a hard worker who had a keen eye & attention to detail as a talented grader/cat operator. Tim enjoyed camping, river boating, fishing, golfing, playing with his dog Toby, and visiting around a bonfire. He never seemed to sit still and spent time cutting grass or tinkering around on equipment in his yard on the family farm where he lived. Tim was a great friend to many and a loving father.
Tim is survived by his partner Nancy VanRootslaar, daughters Charmaine (Aidan) Anderson, Carmen Howrish, and his son Corey Howrish. He will also be missed by his granddaughters Cadence & Norah Anderson, Sydney & Bridgette Shewchuk, and Layhla Howrish. Tim’s mother, Annette Howrish, siblings Jerry (Sherilyn) Howrish, Ken (Lorraine) Howrish, Patty (Darrell) Norman, Daryl (Nicole) Howrish, and Shelly (Harvey) Werboweski, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends will also miss him dearly.
Tim is predeceased by his father Ernie Howrish.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Tim at a later date.
Those wishing to honor his life can make a donation in his name to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation.
