It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Ropac on May 2, 2024 at the age of 88. A much beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Pete is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Ropac; son Chris Ropac (Michelle); grandchildren Carrie Stephenson (Jay), Lisa Harold (Darren) and Beth Mlinaric (Andrew); Great-grandfather to Lleyton, Vaughn, Lachlan and Ruby who he loved immensely. He is survived by his brother Edward Ropac. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Olga Ropac and siblings Mary Woods, Frank Ropac and Allan Ropac. Peter enjoyed almost 40 years of retirement from the Employment Insurance office on both University Avenue and Lauzon Parkway. He was one of the funniest, most caring people we knew, he was so full of love, especially for his family! He adored his son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His retirement hobby was spending as much time with them as possible. His passion for playing the harmonica was one of the skills he tried to pass onto his grandchildren. He loved like no other, a trait passed on to his son and grandchildren. A private family gathering and cremation has taken place.
As a memorial and celebration of life we invite you to share your memories and photos of Peter throughout his life.
