Raine, Robert Wilmot ‘Bob’
Robert (Bob) Raine passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Bob was an amazing husband and father, and his family always came first. He was a quiet, unassuming man but larger than life to those close to him. Bob was born in Toronto and predeceased by his parents Charles and Winnifred Raine. He was the beloved husband of Jackie (nee Monk) for 54 wonderful years. Loving father of Jason Raine and his wife Angela, and Rebecca Bray and her husband Andre. Proudest grandfather of four wonderful grandchildren, Kylie, Kaitlyn, Bronwyn and Jack. Dear brother of Donald Raine and his wife Gale (both deceased), and Gerry Raine and his wife Deborah. Bob will be dearly missed by his nieces Tammy (Ed), Barb (Norm), Melissa (Dave) and his nephew Brandon (Rosie), and by his extended family and friends.
As per Bob’s wishes, cremation and a private family service will take place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Humane Society in Orillia or the Sharing Place in Orillia through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E, Orillia (705) 327-0221.
