The passing of Martin Francis Byrne of Richibucto Road, NB , husband of Wendy Samatha Cross-Byrne, occurred on April 17, 2024 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on January 2, 1961 in Placentia Bay , NL, he was the son of the late Regina Ann (Duke) and Arthur Joseph Byrne. Martin worked as a Power Engineer for Serco, and in his free time he enjoyed being on the golf course. He was a loving husband, a hard worker and an excellent golf player.
Alongside his wife, Martin is survived by his siblings, Eugene Byrne (Tina Humphries), Madonna Smith (Paul), Debra Ann Harnett (late Warren Harnett), Shirley Rideout (Rick Boone), John Byrne (Gwen), Cecilia Bryne, and Diane Chircop (David); his in-laws, Verna and Melvin Cross of Fredericton; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place in Labrador City at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
