William “Bill” Brooks Obituary
William Albert Brooks, age 78, of Stratford passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2024. Born in Stratford, July 4, 1945, son of the late Albert and Olive Brooks.
Beloved husband for 58 years of Lorraine (Harrison). Father of Ray Brooks (Laura), Kristin Brooks (Marilyn). Grandfather of Xander, Liam, Xander, Quinn. Brother of Jack Brooks and Joy Knight. Also survived by sister-in-law Susan Brooks and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Brothers Ron, Gerald (Muriel), Bob, Wilf (Pauline).
Bill worked for 32 years at Brown’s Men’s Wear in Stratford and later Just For Him for 6 years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church where he was custodian for 35 years.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, April 19, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 9 Douro Street, Stratford from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Building Fund or the charity of one’s choice. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
