James “Jim” McCracken Obituary
With deep sadness and a gratitude for a life well lived, the loved ones of Jim McCracken announce his passing at the age of 65 following a long illness that he had faced with valour.
Jim practiced family medicine in Nanton, the High River Hospital and Okotoks, he was devoted to his patients. Living in the beautiful mountain country gave him joy.
Jim was predeceased by his father Jack and is survived by his wife, Pam, children David (Maarjte), Sarah, stepdaughters Caitlan and Chelsea (Michael), one granddaughter and three step-grandchildren, his mother, Anne, sister Cathy (Ian), brother Rob (Crystal) and four nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) or the Parkinsons Association would be fitting to honour Jim.
