PERRIER, Charles
1960 – 2024
It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Charles Perrier on April 6th, 2024 in Carleton Place, Ontario, at the age of 63. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Penny, his daughters Celine (Dongjun) and Felicia (Silas), as well as their mother, Bonnie (Shawn). Also survived by his step-daughters Emily and Katy (Allen). Loving grandpapa to Bennett and Maddy.
Son of Edna Bastien and the late Albert Perrier. Survived by his sister Lucie (Gerard Lynch). Pre-deceased by his sister Rachel (late Gerry Dozois). He also leaves his nephew Joel and niece Stephanie as well as many relatives and friends.
Charles worked for over thirty years with the Parliamentary Protective Service, forming many life-long friendships along the way. He was a very active and dedicated member at the Heritage Fitness Centre. Charles will be remembered for his great sense of humour, hilarious antics, his avid following of the Boston Bruins, and his peaceful demeanour. He was extremely well-read and very knowledgeable across a multitude of topics. He will be deeply missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated. Heart-felt thanks for the wonderful care and support received from the ER team, and Nurse Iris, at CPDMH.
To honour Charles’s wishes, a memorial service will take place in the privacy of his immediate family.
