Edgar Richard, 93, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday April
11, 2024 at the Veterans Health Centre. Born in Georgetown, he was the
son of the late Léandre and Rose-Marie (Gallant)
Richard.
He is survived by one daughter, Patricia “Patsy” of
Surrey, BC; one son, Donald (Cheryle) of Trenton, ON; three
grandchildren: Jason, Derrick and André; one
great-grandchild, Brinley; two sisters: Rita Cormier (Francis) and
Alberta Arsenault (Néri), both of United States; as well
his nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Doris
Williams (2020); two sons: Dale and Robert; three sisters: Albertine,
Pauline, and Jeannette; and one brother, Roger.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff of
the Veterans Health Centre for their care provided to
Edgar.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) from where
the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday April 15 at 3 pm.
Visiting hours are Monday from 2 pm until time of funeral service. The
veterans will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral centre on
Monday at 2:50 pm. In memory of Edgar, a contribution to the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch #6 would be appreciated.
