Obituary of Dorothy Margaret Sullivan
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Dorothy Margaret Sullivan (late Terrance Kelly) at the age of 96, on April 6, 2024 at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Daughter of John “Jack” Sullivan and Beatrice (nee Burton). She is survived by her brother Allen (Beverly) and nieces and nephews (Colleen, Michael, Jeffrey, Joanne, Mark, Tom, Jane, Julie and Erin). She is predeceased by her brothers William, Gordon and Walter and niece Jennifer and nephew Todd. The only girl and eldest of five children, Dorothy was connected to her siblings and extended family. Dorothy worked for many years at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and the Ottawa Civic Hospital. She was the life of the party and loved to get dressed to the nines with hat, gloves and shoes to match. She could often be seen driving around Ottawa in one of her convertibles. Dorothy loved her dogs Ruby, Cocoa and Kelly. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Pinecrest Reception Centre in Ottawa. For those wishing, donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
