Jeanette Barbara Hendsbee (nee Wasser) Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Jeanette Hendsbee. She is survived by her loving husband Silas, son Daniel, daughter Ruth-Lyn (Eric), brother Bob and her pride and joy, Cameron and Alexandra.
Predeceased by her parents John and Theresa Wasser as well as her brothers Dave (Geri), Blase (Sheilagh) and John (Brenda). Jeanette will be deeply missed by family and many friends near and far.
Jeanette worked for McMaster University in the printing department for several years. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking. Jeanette was also known as the “Soup Lady” as she opened up her house to all to enjoy a bowl of her homemade soups. She was also a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
A special thank you to the amazing staff on Maplewood Home Area at Cama Woodlands. You all treated Jeanette like she was one of your own and for that we are truly blessed.
Friends may visit with Jeanette’s family at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. All are invited to Memorial Mass the following day, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL CHUCH 71 Freelton Rd., Freelton beginning at 11 a.m. with Interment to follow at Carlisle Cemetery.
