While surrounded by her loving family, Jeannette passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late William Neil Clark (d. 2016). Loving and devoted mother of Debbie Whalen (Steve), Dale Butler (Tom), Diane, Mel (Jane) and Tim (Judi). Adored grandmother of Erin (Jonathon), Eric, Tara (Simon), Terri (George), Tommy (Melissa), Larissa, Heather, Courtney and Johnathon (Bri). Cherished great grandmother of Lain, Charlie, Ella, Sarah, Jessica and Owen. Dear sister of Eva Dafoe and sister-in-law of Mary Jones, Keith Clark and Brenda Sommerville. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jeannette is predeceased by her parents Melville and Ethel (nee Wright) Dafoe, siblings Ferna Stockdale, Doris Gardner, Joan Cooper and Glenn Dafoe, and brothers-in-law Lorne Clark and Carmen Clark. In accordance with Jeannette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at Highland Park Cemetery, and a Celebration of Jeannette’s life to follow at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the PRHC Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be made; along with expressions of condolence, can be made below.
