It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael on April 1, 2024. Loving son of Luigi and Muriel. Cherished brother of Lucas. Dear grandson of Felicia and the late Frank Mastandrea and the late Dorothy and Ronald Shanks. Beloved nephew of Barb Buhaenko(the late John) and Grace Pettorossi(John). Treasured cousin of Nicholas, Kristin, Joseph, and Tomas. He will be greatly missed by many family and friends in Canada and Italy. He will always be remembered for his love of cooking, football(especially the Steelers), his big heart, and kind and gentle soul. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (Between Mohawk and Fennell) on Saturday April 6, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
