Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Riverview Gardens in Chatham on March 29, 2024, at 100 years of age. Dear wife of the late Wilbur Thomas (2000). Cherished mother of Bill Thomas and Bob Thomas. Treasured grandmother to Jason Thomas (Monica) and Joe Thomas (Becky). Dear great grandma of Forest. Loving sister of Betty Brown. Predeceased by Martin Schmidt (Kathy) and Michael Schmidt (late Stella). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Julie was a long time and devoted member of the Bethel-Maidstone United Church and the UCW. Julie is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North Es on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Bethel Maidstone United Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at the church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
