Obituary For Olga Alexis Kapalka
September 6, 1932 – March 21, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Olga Kapalka announce her passing at home on March 21, 2024.
Olga was born in High Prairie and grew up in that area on the family farm. After her marriage to her husband Henry Kapalka, Olga and Harry farmed in the Kleskun Hills area for many years and later in the Grande Prairie area. Olga loved her community, nature, people and her faith. Olga was a kind and compassionate person and will be missed by many.
Olga is survived by her son Carden Kapalka and his wife Mony Wills, her sisters Mary Nastiuk and Stella Kryzalka as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Olga was pre-deceased by her parents Alex Fediw and Doris Fediw, her brother Mike Fediw, her husband Henry Kapalka (married 63 years) as well as their only Grandson.
A memorial service for Olga will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 11am at Bear Creek Funeral Home (11802 99 Avenue in Grande Prairie, Alberta). Olga will be laid to rest privately by family at the Grande Prairie Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be may in Olga’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
