Departing this life on Sunday March 24, 2024, Glenn Otto Michaelis left a legacy of faith and family. Born into the family of Elmore and Margaret on April 21, 1952, he was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His memory will be held dear by all who knew him.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Alice Michaelis; their children, Jeremy and his wife Anita, Dennis and his wife Crystal, Bethany and her husband Nicholas; and his adored grandchildren, Asher, River, Levi, Henry, Korra, and Devon. He also leaves behind his brothers, Dave and his wife Rhonda, Phill and his wife Bonnie, Dean and his wife Linda, James and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
A man of profound Christian faith, Glenn devoted his life to serving others. His technical expertise was not only the foundation of his business, MCTS, but also a means through which he generously helped those around him. For years, Glenn was a cornerstone of Bayside Family Church, ensuring every Sunday service, Christmas play, and concert was heard clearly and beautifully.
Glenn’s legacy of kindness, hospitality, and generosity will live on through the countless lives he touched. His funeral service will be held at Bayside Family Church in Parry Sound on Thursday, March 28, at 11 am (visitation at 10am), followed by a luncheon. Spring interment Sylvan Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenn’s memory to support his niece, Laura Michaelis, in her work with the Nomads in Chad, Africa.
