Elsie passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 26, 2024, at 81years of age. Dear wife of 48 years to Richard. Daughter of the late Harold and Nellie Jamieson. Treasured mother of Annajayne MacNeil (Angus). Cherished grandma of Jamieson. Loving sister of Alex Jamieson (late Janet), Barb McGill (late John), Reta McGill (Gerry Casey), and Harold Lloyd Jamieson. Sister-in-law of Philip Barnett (Audrey), and John Barnett (Sheila). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Elsie was born on Gulf Shore Road, Pugwash Nova Scotia. She trained as a hairdresser, but her love of animals brought her to become a pork producer for many years. She was a Cancer Survivor many times over. Elsie also started a trucking company called CTX Expedite. She retired as a Fire Control Officer at the Ford Es Engine Plant to spend time with horses. Elsie was known for her love of flying and was taught by Jerry Billings; completing many airshows, choreographed to the music of “The Rose”.
Elsie is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Es on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service at 1 p.m. (Livestream available). Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Rotary Club of Es or the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor & Es County.
