Peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, March 23, 2024 of Exeter and formerly of Usborne Township in her 97th year. Dear wife of the late Reginald Hodgert (1990). Loving mother of Brenda and Ivan Hern of Usborne Township, the late Grant (2001) and Nancy Hodgert of Exeter, and the late Scott Hodgert (2017). Dear grandmother of Jeanna Smith of Exeter, Holly and Chad Bunyak of Sudbury, Richard and Dena Hern of Usborne Township, Amy and Barry Parsons of Usborne Township, and Ann Marie Hodgert of Exeter. Dear great-grandmother of Regan and Mason Smith; Bay and Beau Bunyak; Anyanka Hern; and Natalie, Janelle, Percy, and Evelyn Parsons. Dear sister of Jack and Mary Cann of London, and Ray and Alice Cann of Ladysmith, B.C. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary (McCullagh) Cann, great-grandson Blake Bunyak, sister Margaret and Jim Love, and Reg’s siblings Arnold and Marion Cann, and Ross and Kay Hodgert. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Exeter Villa and the Stratford General Hospital for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM, where Jean’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 11 AM with Rev.
