Marjorie Burnett Obituary
Marjorie Ann Burnett, age 75, of Stratford passed away peacefully at St. Marys Hospital, Kitchener on March 21, 2024. Marjorie was born in Stratford, daughter of Myrtle Steckly (Allan). She was sister of Dave Steckly (Marilyn), Sherry Warren (Brian), June Nicholson (Vern), and the late Bob Steckly. She was sister-in-law of Don Burnett (Kim), Jody Burnett, and the late David Burnett and Paulyne Young (Ron). She met Robert “Bozo” Burnett when she was 14 and, after dating for three years, they were married on August 6, 1965. They raised their three children, Jade, Chad, and Jolene, in Stratford, starting out in a home on Louise Street and later moving to Lightbourne Avenue. She lived and worked in Stratford her whole life. She worked at International Artcrafts, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed a long retirement with Robert, and they spent time working on and enjoying their cottage in Point Clark, travelling to many southern destinations, and spending time with friends and family. He predeceased her in 2021.
Loved as Grandma by her five grandchildren: Cody, Christie, Indy, Avery, and Kaelyn, and was great grandmother to Olivia, Vayda, and Krueger. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her children, Jade and Kim, Chad and Denise, Jolene and Jim, her nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and friends.

Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in Avondale Cemetery. Friends are invited to share memories with Marjorie’s family in the Reception Centre of the W.G.
