Claudia Joan Sabourin Obituary
With deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Claudia Joan Sabourin in her 85th year at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday February 29, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leon Sabourin and her long-time companion John Acorn. Loving mother of Randy (Cathy), Steven (Lisa) and Carrie (Jim). She will be remembered fondly by grandchildren Melissa, Rachelle, Paige, Carter, Samantha (Mike), Renee and Nicholas and great granddaughters Navy and Wynn.
She is survived by her sister Mary McVeety (late Harry), predeceased by sisters Catherine Robinson, Mildred Bialik (late George) Evelyn Lubitz (late Gordon), Theresa Brookes (late Bill), Sylvia Tanner (late Garnett), Patricia Warmington (late Jack) and Valentine “Allie” Jackson (late Bob).
Claudia was born in North Bay and spent most of her life there, moving to her beautiful home on Lake Nosbonsing after retirement. She relocated to the Waterdown area later in life to be closer to family members.
Private cremation has taken place. A celebration of life followed by internment has been planned for Friday, May 24, 2024 at the All Saints Mausoleum Chapel in North Bay at 11 AM.
