It is with profound sadness that the family of Vivian Margaret Hillier, 72, of Lunenburg, announce her passing on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at home.
Born in Belleoram, NL she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Vivian (Mullins) Savoury.
Vivian worked at various jobs over the years, but looking after John and her family were most important to her. She enjoyed playing crib at the Lunenburg Legion, and playing bingo at the Fire Department in Mahone Bay.
Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John; daughters, Cathy, Danielle, Lunenburg; her most precious granddaughter, Kennedy; the sun rose and set on her Kennedy; twin brother, Vernon Savoury, Grand Bank, Stan (Sheila), D’Escousse, Charles Savoury, St. John’s, Fred Hanhams, Lunenburg; sisters, Donna (Gary) Piercy, Edmonton, AB, Queen (Mike) Cohen, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; Colleen Kirk, Hamilton, ON; brother-in-law, Murdock (Linda) Hillier, Athabasca, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Always supported by her loving friends, Christine Hanhams, Marlene Lambert and Freda Martin. Thank you for taking good care of her, she looked forward to your phone calls and visits.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Dora Fiander, Daisy Morris, Catherine Hanhams; brothers, Frank Perham, Wilfred Savoury and Gerald in infancy.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy 3, Lunenburg. A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
