Margaret Ruth Metelnick passed away at MacKenzie Health in Richmond Hill on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the age of 87. Margaret Metelnick, beloved wife of the late Don Guerrette, loving mother of Marie (& Tony) of Indiana, Michael (& Paulina) of Hong Kong and David (& Siofan) of York, excited expectant grandmother of ?? and dear sister of Terry (& Bill) of Toronto. Margaret was born in Montreal, Quebec and was employed as a real estate agent in Ottawa for many years. She and Don relocated to Bancroft (Bay Lake) in 1997 where they enjoyed their lakefront property and the many friends they made here. Margaret had been a resident at the Riverstone Residence for the past few years prior to a move to Richmond Hill in August of 2023. Margaret’s involvement in many activities and groups, her membership at St. John’s Anglican Church and with the North Hastings Community Choir, to mention a few, will long be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her as will her love of gardening, caring for her beloved dogs and her enjoyment of the arts. May she now rest in peace.
