Obituary of John McDonald
It is with great sadness that the family of the late John McDonald announce his passing in at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour Breton, NL on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the age of 92. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Mary (Roland Farrell), St. Alban’s, NL, Lorraine (Garfield Simms), St. Alban’s, NL, Brian McDonald (Rhoda), Head of Bay d’Espoir, NL, Ethel (Tom McDonald), St. Alban’s, NL, Rodney McDonald, (Amy), St. Alban’s, NL; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters: Grace (Michael Snook), St. Alban’s, NL & Gladys Abbott, Harbour Breton, NL; sister in law: Irene Perry, St. Alban’s, NL; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife: Bertha; son: Earl McDonald; granddaughter: Heather McDonald; brother: Philip McDonald; sisters: Rose Engram, Blanche Willmott, Eva Anderson, Maude Ashford; son in law: Norman Benoit; Niece: Marilyn Fudge. Funeral service on Wednesday February 8 2023 at 2pm at Christ Anglican Church, Milltown with Rev. Sandra Roberts officiating. Interment at Christ Anglican Cemetery, Milltown. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Hynes’ Coast of Bays Funeral Home, St. Alban’s.
