After a long illness, Bruce Gateman of Hanover passed away peacefully in the arms of the love of his life, his wife Bev, on March 6th, 2024. Born on August 1, 1947, Bruce grew up in Brant township, on a small farm just north of Hanover, son of the late Dave and Millie Gateman. He is predeceased by sisters, Ella and Helen and brothers, Bill and Howard. Forever missed by his wife Beverlee (Parker) and stepsons Jeff Kelly and husband Duncan MacKenzie, Kyle and Kate, grandchildren Anderson and Natalie. Bruce enjoyed building things. He enjoyed his work as a bricklayer and was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union. Remember him for his smile, laughter, and kindness to people. The most important things in life to Bruce were not things but family and friends of which he had many. As per Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Brant greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Donations can be made through the Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services, Owen Sound.
