McKenzie, Victoria Caroline (nee Couzens)
Passed away at Shalom Manor, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the age of 67, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of Ron McKenzie. Much loved mother of Tiffany Torrie (Mark) and Ashley Clark (Andrew). Cherished Grandma of James Clark and Emmaline Torrie.
Victoria’s zest for life was unmatched and she led each day with a smile. She did not let her illnesses define her and showed her fighting spirit all through her health battles. Victoria loved her grandchildren with all her heart and always had a special smile for the two of them.
Victoria was an avid “executive” gardener with a very strong green thumb. She could make anything from wreaths to Halloween costumes to porcelain dolls to gorgeous cakes. Victoria loved Queen with all her heart and was often found with headphones on rocking out. In her later years, she developed an appreciation for procedural television dramas and their twists and turns. Victoria was an animal lover to her core and, over the years, was a proud pet mom to many dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits.
The family would like to thank the staff at Shalom Manor, Dr Kim and the nursing staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and Dr Abhi Hallock at the Walker Cancer Clinic for all of their loving care for Victoria.
Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Friday March 15, 2024 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church 2878 St. John’s Drive, Jordan on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial at St. John’s Public Cemetery, Jordan. If desired, memorial contributions to Pumpkin Acres Rabbit Rescue would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
