Peacefully, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie, in her 86th year, Diane entered into the presence of her Saviour.
Beloved wife of the late Ross Harold Semple (2013). Loved Mother of April Laking-Hall (Don) of Fonthill and Walter Cone (Heather) of Parrish, Florida. Loved Step-Mother of Ross Semple Jr. (Tamara) of Sharon. Loved sister of Rodger Laking (Carrie) and the late Marlene Laking. Loving Grandmother to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Grew up on Hamilton beach strip, attended Stoney Creek H.S., worked many years for BMO in Burlington, Oakville, Toronto and spent the best years of her retirement enjoying the view from Admiral’s Walk in Burlington.
A special thank you to the staff of Maple Park Lodge and Dr. Kim Scher for all of their wonderful care.
Celebration service for the life of Diane Semple will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 at Bay Gardens Funeral Home 1010 Botanical Drive in Burlington. Reception to follow. A private family interment will take place prior to the service.
